I went to have a look at a similar condition seardier last week thats advertised on boats and outboards under the projects section,

It was shafted and the hull was starting to de-laminate round the water ballast hole in the transom.

Well worth cheecking this out on the older seariders and probaly one to avoid unless you are a laminator.

JBT Marine isn't it? maybe the value of it is in the engine and the boat is just something they thrown in with it that they can't shift?!

Depending on the age/condition of the engine, say £1500 might be a good price?!

You think 1K is a bad deal for that, check this out.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

7K for what looks little more than a wreck. And he reckons it's valued at 20K. Then again, the toilet mounted in pride of place is priceless.
Ideal project for Pete7, should be just in your performance range with those monster engines!!!

Just Called JBT

I have just come off the phone to JBT Marine to enquire (not seriously interested in buying it... god forbid) he wants if you want to take it away now as it is plus the 70hp Tohatsu which is 1996/7 engine..... wait for it... £2750

MadMat, that price is so stupid that the page can't respond.

£2750 for that is slightly steep! What would be the market value for the engine alone? £2000 tops? I don't really know.

Christ !
We gave a 5m Zodiac SIB away in better condition than that, because we thought it was past its useful life.

Ok firstly if you work out what it would cost you to renervate the hull it wouldn't be worth, then add the cost of a new trailer to carry a 5.4 metre boat and i'd suspect your starting to get into new hull territory fast.

This hull would require a strip down, re laminate on the hull, the deck and transom would probably need sorting out and it might need a re tube, then add a new consoul and helm, and all this is ontop of 1k +

If the engine had a full service history and was in excellent condition i'd expect it to be worth about 1- 1.5k remember Tohatsu are rock bottom money new, a brand new 70hp 2 stroke would come in at about 4k ish

Now this looks like a classic.

I know it's not a rib but it looks good. Well the young lady draped over it seems to like it very much.

Ner, this'd go well with your Ring though.
Think of the love nest you could turn it into.
