Product Review

Tide Plotter 2004/2006

I've mentioned this great bit of software before but the new version has just been issued.

Tide Plotter from Belfield Software does just what it says on the packaging...

Yes, I know that you can get up to 5 days tide prediction on the web, but Tide Plotter gives you a whole 12 months (3 years if you buy the extended version) right on your pc or laptop.

Coverage now extends to (in the 3 year European version):
England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway Spain, Germany, Denmark, Portugal & Gibraltar.

The tidal predictions can be displayed as a graph or as a table and both are very easy to read. You get a very useful tide log which means you can prepare and print out a log for each port on a cruise (great for your next round Britain event).

You can put in the draught of your boat and Tide Plotter will highlight and times that your boat would 'ground'. You even get a free 'electronic' book about tide theory.

This is very good value for money.

The standard 12 month version for existing customers is just £8.95

The 3 year European version is only £19.95

You can purchase from their website:

www.belfieldsoftware.co.uk

This product is highly recomended.

How about 1 person buy it for £20 then burn 50 copies for the rest of the guys that use the forum.

Thats what forums are all about isn't it !!

Seahound don't be such a ruddy skinflint, it costs less than a tenner. That's about 5 mins at wot on Charles' boat!

At 36p per litre, my maths makes that 277.5 litres per hour for each engine!

I just knew there was a good reason (apart from the missus) why I don't have a bigger boat!
