Prep for bottom paint on Hypalon?

Hi all,

I'm getting ready to paint the bottom of the tubes with Total Boat ablative antifouling paint for inflatables. The directions say to lightly scrub the Hypalon with epoxy thinner using a bronze wool pad before painting. Any idea what grade of pad (fine, medium, coarse)?

Thanks,
Barry

Medium would be fine. It is just so the paint have a course surface to stick on to.

I would be interested in hearing how well it works. I have been looking for a good antifoul solution for my tubes for a while.

I’ll start painting in about a week. I’ll let you know how the Total Boat brand works out.
