Pls.adv. kill cord without metal part or 100% proof for corosion

Hello,

I have bought some spare kill cords.
Probably this year I used spare not original and they are rusty.

Anyone can advice solid stuff (kill cords) without metal parts or some bronze or A4 steel ?

It drives me crazy when some stuff is rusty.
Plus it dirty boat and equipment.

Many thanks in advance for help

On the assumption it is the clip that is rusting rather than the plastic bit that activates the kill switch, can you not replace the clip with a stainless one?

If you Google A4 stainless spring clip, you'll get a selection that may be suitable.

It is not mine, just found on internet:

Not sure about English name but mine has the same "circle" and key on this circle.
And this "circle" is rusty and generally all metal parts are.

I have bought it as "Evinrude original kill cord". Will look now for item in original package.

Probably better description is RING not "circle" - sorry for my English.

You can buy stainless split rings from fishing tackle shops, cheap as chips.

With the trajectory the pound is taking at the moment if you wait a bit you'll be able to buy a new boat along with the kill cord.
