painting PVC tubes

Howdy Gang,
My ex- deckhand scrubbed the top of the tubes on our Rubber Ducky and removed most of the red colour. I was thinking about putting patches on but having a hard time getting the glue and patching material. I understand that our tubes are PVC.
Anybody have any good luck painting the tubes.
thanks
hank

Try www.synergy.ca

I have some of the stuff and it seems to stick to the PVC better than the West Marine stuff.

I thought the color was mixed into the plastic in PVC.

Are you sure you're not seeing a matte effect that makes it appear a lighter color? Wetting the abraded area should give you a clue (oil would last longer than water.)

Glue for PVC would be a urethane adhesive.
