Tube repaint

The only thing I would be concerned about is what does it look like after a few yrs of use.Eg does a repainted tube look ok after use,or does it look like a hand painted car ?

I saw a set of tubes whilst down with JF at Drivers Wharf and they looked Naff,I will speak to JF and see when he is next down and see if he can get a picture,I dont know if it was becouse they had been painted or just not looked after,He will I am sure tell us when I get in touch.

Yep, Polymarine sell it and so might your local chandlers. It looks ok and, if the tubes are grease free, it adheres very well. But I wouldn't paint tubes which don't need it. You can always apply another coat after a couple of years if it wears thin or gets scuffed.
Polymarine are in north Wales but they'll charge you the price of a litre of paint to post it!

Thanks Guys for prompt responses. I should have been more specific. This is not to paint the whole tube only say a logo or a number, instead of sticking on a cut out from say hypalon

Andre - I got the background for the race numbers sprayed on - they used normal car paint with a ruberising compound in it. Should be available from the normal paint supplier.

Andre

You can actually buy Liquid Hypalon to use for names, numbers etc. I was talking to the guy from Halmatic about it at the Boat Show.

Unfortuately I dont know where it is available from - but Halmatic should know.
