Outboard motor lock

I've got this volcano lock i had fitted when i bought a new engine for my searider about 5 years ago, anyway. Lost the keys and had to cut it off.

I really should have a lock on my new outboard for insurance purposes.

Any ideas how I can get it open and maybe find a code to order new keys? They are around a £100 now. So worth saving if I can.

I've checked the old paperwork. But no key code.

Or do I need to send it to the lock picking lawyer 😆

Just keep it handy to show the insurance company if your engine gets stolen, you've already proved it ain't going to stop anyone stealing your engine

Nowadays its quicker to cut the bolts with a grinder than it is to unscrew the nuts its getting harder & harder to secure stuff as tool technology improves

Or just chop the whole transom which seems to be more common nowadays too!

RIBase
Drop a line to info@outboardmotorlocks.co.uk who produce Volcano. If you have purchase paperwork, you never know. Sometimes companies go the extra mile. Apparently the key codes range from 320001 to 326000 and uses L&F 32 Series Radial Key.
