North Devon Info Needed

Off down to North Devon in late October. Will be around the Woolacombe Bay area. Family business sorting out last wishes in a will, etc. Thinking of taking the RIB to try & cheer everyone up afterwards.

Will look on Boatlaunch later, but does anyone know the area? Decent launch sites? Anywhere to moor up for 3-4 days or with secure hard standing? Places to visit? Anywhere suitable on the coast or down the River Taw? Any info gratefully received.

Not sure about the Woolacombe area for launching, but there is an excellent slip at Appledore which will only cost you 2 x car park tickets (one for car, one for trailer). It's a good slipway for any vehicle.
Check launch times either side of HW though, and it's inside the Appledore Bar so crossing this has to be done with caution in any sort of a blow. Follow the marked channel out and you'll be fine.
That whole coast is spectacular, Hartland Point is well worth a visit, as is Clovelly. I can recommend the Boathouse restaurant at Instow as well.
