New Tubes

The new tubes arrive tomorrow (4 weeks late) for our 5mtr tornado. We got them made up by Gemini. Anybody fitted these tubes before?

Let us know how you get on I also have an ageing Tornado in need of a retube but iam hoping it will last out the summer!!

I have had some inner tubes from Gemini (also late in arriving) which are great for a temporary fix.

Hope you fit them ok any pics would be great.

I believe BogMonster has a pretty good working knowledge regarding humber tube repair/replacement.

OUCH!!!

I'm assuming you are referring to the Gemini Industries that offers the "kit boats" & slip-in tube sausage inserts, and not the Gemini Inflatables that manufactures zapcats and waveriders.

Is this RIB one of Gemini Industries' "kit boats", or are these shot tubes a replacement of the original tubes of another company's RIB?

I'm sure the replacement tubes will offer a completely different experience of inflateableness

Haven't been able to use mine much since it has been fixed, too darned cold at the moment!

Hmm...

This isn't the 1st tale of a seriously dissatisfied GI customer I've heard.

I recently saw a RIB fitted with GI toobs. It was shocking and I wouldn't recommend anyone go down this route. The joints in the outer material were stitched together and inflation is via butyl rubber inner tubes. They were an irregular shape and there was a huge gap where the toobs joined the hull at the bow
Whatever these cost was not worth it.
