Well,

picked the boat up from John at Cougar Marine yesterday lunchtime! managed to get out for a play and over to cowes before the rain came! Lucky the heavens opened whilst we were sat in the Fountain having some lunch and a little celebration drink!

Havent been to the Fountain for ages but its really nice! Food was lovely and fast and hot and cheap!! the harbour commision left us a little note asking for £5 so after paying, (a very helpful lady in the office) we set off again.

Oh my god it was cold but i still have the smile on my face!!! really really pleased so far with her. with the 5 blade prop we were hitting 44.5 kts at WOT so next step is to get the prop re worked and see what that does and then maybe experiment with some different props to increase top end.

Its a very different boat to our previous ribs and really looking forward to getting used to here before the summer!!!

will post some pictures when we get them and should be back out tomorrow assuming my hangover isnt too bad after the rugby and the weather plays ball!!

Congratulations Howard! You've come a long way since this was taken

Just remember to undo the vent screw on the fuel tank

Not quite identical layout as we have raised foredeck and table in the bow but same colours.

we plan to get the deck teaked in the near future and we should be all set!!

Aspirations are never mad! the long days and working overseas all seem worth while when you get out on the water!!

That little BWM in Hightowers pictures was my first boat and we have come a long way but i would rather that way than jump into a big boat to start!

i remember rewiring that boat outside the pub at the top of Wotten Creak after the battery isolator destroyed itself during the fleet review!!

and following Craig and his dad in their revenger 29 cos they flattened the waves for me in my little 5 meter lightweight!

ahh good times!!

hopefully we will enjoy this one as much as the others, albeit with a bigger range and more comfort!
