New to ribs, just bought a Humber.

Hello everyone, just bought this on eBay.

http://bit.ly/18YApJh

Bin driving ribs at work, and fancied my
Own.

Haven't seen it in the flesh, bought it blind. It's sat on my drive in the UK currently while i still have two weeks work left in the Med.

Had the boat checked over on arrival and all is well apart from seized steering inside console.

Anyone own this model rib or engine?

It's a 2007 2S merc 75hp, with low hours.

I only have a week in the UK before my next job starts in the US so aim to get it serviced myself and sea trialled then probably put it to sleep for winter!

Thanks for replies and reassurance.

Looking forward to getting it in the water now.

Unforetunately not my tow vehicle, had it delivered by the seller as he was passing for work. Currently don't have a motor due to spending very little time in the UK.

I think the seller made a mistake with the auction and not setting a reserve which meant I got it at a good price.

If anyone feels they missed out on this then remember to check out ours (its the one you'll have seen me post pics from incredibly dirty to nice bright and orange), very similar boat...

I bought an almost identical one last week and have already start tinkering.
Any chance you could take some pics of the anchor locker, I'm looking and building one for mine.

Gixernick,

Yes will get you some pictures and dimension next week home on Saturday. Send us your email and I'll send them over.

Nugent,

Thanks for the offer, I'll keep you posted because if I can free this one up with some penetrating oil I'll make do for now. But if it's a write off then I'll take it off you.

Okay thanks, got your email now. I'd delete it off the forum though because robots will start spamming you.
