New rib.- right one for the job?

Hi, I am looking at a zodiac 12 man pro with a 90 HP merc Optiplex for slalom skiing. Is this going to do the job? Thx Charles

There's a joke about a mountain, some snow & a couple of dozen red & blue flags being a better bet hiding in there, but I shan't.....

Welcome to ribnet.

Not being a (water)skier myself, what's the optimum for that? No wake or big wake? That may alter the hull decision, but on a boat that size with a 90 there should be more than enough grunt to get a skier on the move. There's a load of skiers in the massive out there, so someone should be along with a half decent answer shortly.

The Pro 12 is pretty small & relatively light. While the 90 will have plenty of umph, you may find the tail wagging the dog.
