New Boat Day!

Well six months has flown past. The sailing events at Panam games finished up last weekend and my boat is now lightly used and ready for me to pick up

It's a 5.9M Highfield OceanMaster Dl. I took folks advice and upped the engine from 90 to 115 as well as adding the A frame in. Can't wait to get it home. Wonder if it will actually fit in the garage ! Lol

Pics to follow later today.

Been crazy busy since getting the boat but did manage to go out with wife and daughter yesterday for a nice cruise out of local harbour.

Entertaining that I thought it might fit garage lol!! Once wife said it was ok if it was in driveway I stopped measuring ...

Nice looking rib ... Not sure on that seating arrangement you'd be tossed out in minutes over here

Nice looking boat, congratulations. If it's going to live on the drive, I'd get a full cover for it, otherwise it will soon start to deteriorate in the weather.
Will your Garmin, gimbal mount on the console above the wheel?

Thanks . Yes I'm now shopping to find a decent cover that doesn't cost me a fortune. This may be an oxymoron but we will see.

Challenge with the Garmin mount is it had the quick release tray attached to a base which is too wide to fit into the narrow flat. Thinking to get my buddy who can machine things to make me up a Delrin mounting plate I can use.

Lol! Yeah the boats were rigged for the sailing events so comfortable but not as useful as a jockey seat to keep you in place

Cracking colour combo, like it.

Do yourself a favour and make it fit the garage if possible.

Assuming it is long enough, I would mod the A frame to tilt to get it in.

Insurance is cheaper, no cover wearing the tubes, work on it in any weather and it will be out the weather.

Cheers

Get it in the garage! I had to do this to my Avon 5.4m trailer. Tongue and A-frame and you should be good.

I'd think that it would be harder to convince the wife to give up a garage space rather than the driveway!
