Needles today (sat)??

Was anyone on here off the needles/alum bay today at about 4:30, just before sunset? I saw 3 ribs from the top of the warren and it looked like Merlin (possibly), another boat I couldn't indentify and maybe a blue scorpion?

Just curious, looked real nice out there!

Yes,twas Blue Ice,didnt recognise the other two RIB,s but ran alongside them for a while.
It was a superbly flat day for Ribbing although a bit bumpy around the needles.

What am I doing wrong?

We nearly died of fright going round the Needles after a trip round the island on 29th October in a sort of F6 South Westerly with interesting seas. What do I have to to organise the weather? It is November now!!!

Er, Richard,

I think you need a new Ensign - yours looks a little tattered for a Scorpion driver....

Brian - no it wasn't Manos, timboli will never live that down now!

Roy, the quality increase has been matched by a file size increase as you've probably noticed! Yes, the change is a new video camera - the Canon A40 has been replaced (for videos) by a Sony DCR-HC90E which is a 3megapixel widescreen mini-DV cam.

Rob C - I'll keep 'em coming... there's a new one from today on Hugh's thread in the Gallery.

Timboli - sorry, can't help you with that quandry!

Bruce, we ordered good weather for Sunday as well, but didn't get quite the same! And in respect of the ensign, I'm sure that you're not supposed to repair them, just use them 'till they are tattered down to the pole? Urban myth?

If anyone finds a radar reflector on the sea bed off St Catherine's Point, that'll be mine!
