That's a fair point but for me it's a bonus. Only thing I will say is if you just want to drift along at low revs there is bound to be more fuel consumption.

If you spend a lot of time at rest, eg taking photos, then it's likely to be a bonus. If you're towing waterskiers, then it's definitely a disadvantage.
