Name That RIB?

After 12 months of searching I have finally found my next project, problem is I do not know what it is! It is 6.5 m in length with a wide beam and relatively shallow V hull. Cannot find any makers plate but there is a serial number on the transom PBR8216. Thought it might be a Cobra, but what do the experts think?

There is a whole protocol on re-naming a boat, then not launching on a Friday, plus loads of other stuff. You can read the whole lot at the following link Renaming Your Boat - BoatSafe.com , but one line did catch my attention:

Do not under any circumstances carry aboard any item bearing your boat’s new name until the purging and renaming ceremonies have been completed!

Some people just can't read!

Can't help you with the manufacturer but I've seen a console like that one before.

I recall seeing a 1999 RIBeye that looked a lot like that hull - but that was a while back and I have no pics to compare...

Yes, should never launch a new boat on a friday.

I'll now get back to trying to discover the MAKE of RIB, rather than renaming it!

The hull shape and makers stamp looks similar to my Porter 6500. The floor and console is different though.

Tony. We have more water than we need here, I can almost float the boat in the back garden, I have had to move the car to higher ground, its ridiculous.
