My daughter bought herself a Xmas present

Haven't been on for a while as I sold my zodiac 550 a while back and bought a different boat with more space for us older anglers, also something a little more shark proof.

My daughter wasn't to impressed I sold the rib as she loved it. She's been pretty these days having gotten her coxswain 1 and then her master 5, so now drives local charter vessels.

On Xmas eve I spotted a rib only 1hr from our place for sale on gumtree with just 38hrs on it which my daughter instantly fell for. We headed up for a look and were soon on our way home with her first boat she bought herself.

Headed out Xmas morning to collect fresh eastern rock lobsters from a secret location for lunch. A very happy young girl

Pictures are the charter boat she skippers, my boat and her zodiac.

What a lovely Boat and a lovely present to her self. You are very fortunate indeed to have a Daughter who is so keen on boating and all the water has to offer. You are in Aus of course so apart from all the critters that want to get you you have a positive advantage

Not at all jonp. It's a funny time of year back in Blighty right now. We all wish we could have the sun on our back soon.

Your daughter is very talented. I've followed your family's epic fishing trips over the years, watching her spear-fishing some monster critter. The boat is a great present and she seems to taking everything in her stride.

well done to your daughter for both qualifying for a job she wanted, and for buying a great little Zodiac.

Ribnet is really quiet currently - maybe a mixture of COVID and Facebook, so I don't think the lack of comments is personal!

You are ahead of us, but best wishes for 2021.

Pity the forum hasn't got a 'like' button. You'd be snowed under
Quality pics as ever.
Happy New Year to you both.

Both an unfortunate disease that will hopefully disappear in the near future lol

OP - pic's look great, my eldest (13) helms everything we run, won't be long before she has her own
