Mumbles on Sunday

Looking at heading out of Cardiff on Sunday and was thinking of heading to Mumbles which according to MapSource is about 38 nm.

I can see there is a pier / jetty on mapsource that looks like it is wet at all states of tide.

Low water on Sunday is at 12.10 and is about 1 meter so a low one. Is there somewhere to tie up at all states of tide at Mumbles?

Chris

Are you looking to come ashore from the pier?

A few reasons why you may wish to reconsider:

1. If you leave anything unattended that near Swansea, it will get nicked.
2. Codprawn, if he's still alive, will take loads of photos of you.
3. Mumbles pier is very popular with fishermen, who may land hooks, lead weights, beer bottles, etc. in your RIB.
4. IIRC private craft are not allowed to use the pier for landing.

If you're there at lowish water and the sea is calm, you could dry her out on the sand off Knab Rock slipway and walk ashore. There's lots of pubs, cafes, etc. at Mumbles where you could get your lunch, but don't leave anything of value on the RIB.

Good luck

It wouldn't suit me - I'm far too open-minded and impartial

Or why not head to Watchet or Portishead? Is it the CBYC fishing comp this weekend? Locking out could be busy.
