Mouth of Seine, and speed limits to Paris

I am going to moor at Honfleur Thursday.

Any advice on what to take (besides paperwork)? Setting off from Lymington, then Gunwharf to fill up with coffee, then straight across.

Does anyone know the mouth of the Seine? Any guidance?

What are the rules for paperwork on the Seine. Is it an inland waterway and needs a CEVNI (is it?). Is there a speed limit?

Thx

Bruce

RIBase
I have been up to Honfleur and a bit further.
Mouth of the seine? Keep to the right of the red ones and to the left of the green. Otherwise nothing.
Strictly I think you need a CEVNI.
Best to take ALL your paperwork including your marraige certificate!

Don't forget to have a long leisurley lunch around Honfleur Harbour.

It's a long thread, but you can read about our trip here. I think you will find you don't need CEVNI for the Seine Maritime, but should have ICC. You will need a VNF for the river if you are going beyond the first 'ecluse' (lock). On the way to Honfleur pleasure boats must stay outside the main channel. Watch the tides and winds, it gets quite choppy and shallow.

Thank you so very much. Forecast is "slight sea state" and F2/F3 which suits me. I feel a long blast at 43.5 (the .5 matters) knots coming on.....

Nope. It's voie navigable de France IIRC. Basically river license which you can obtain on line. We never got asked for ours so if going up river at all you may like to take your chance.

I missed this thread until just now so it's probably too late but a warning to 'phone Honfleur in advance to check a) availablity of space and b) that the harbour is open (rather than having to wait three months) might have been helpful
