Hoping Hunton 69 makes it along to the Brass Monkey in the Bournemouth bay basic race will be interesting to see the 33' boat in action against other boats weather allowing of course

Yeah, a nice boat and all that, but what puts it ahead of a Pascoe, Cougar, Big Scorp. etc, etc?

in the flesh they are very elegant! and seem to resemble a sportsboat more tha the other makes you mentioned. All of which are elegant and wonderful boats but they didn't win the award

I,ve often wondered
A. who are the judges (are they rib people)
B. On what grounds are the points given
I think that sometimes they just run out of newish boats to vote on
and as this is a good looking rib and you don't see hardly any on the water you have to take there word for it.
Example. How many of you would know if say a Ferrari F430 is the best sports car out there. As i for one havant driven one, i,ve got to take there word for it.

Of course a cynical person might suggest that the magazines might be influenced by the advertising revenue...

Not sure that the 'shed' of a console is particularly 'elegant'.

It sure is a pretty boat, but there is nothing new and innovative about it is there?
If you compare it to the new Bladerunner rib, I don't think it stands up..

I'm fairly sure that is a normal blade runner that had bits of tube added to allow it to race in the Egypt Rib Race.

And although it looks cool and innovative, the people who've driven them don't rate them very highly.

For some reason I can't watch more than about 40 seconds of the video but I did hear this gem.

"Been winning races for many many years including I believe a Round Britain"

Ok thanks Bandit, would of been nice to see your new boat in action, last years turn out was one of the best I think I had watched, with if I recall Buzzi Bullet winning overall after a tussle with the big scorpion and P1's ocean dragon that retired with broken transmission...good luck with everything and hopefully you will make the cancer research

Like the majority of ribs, it's a "hardboat hull", but the deck is true rib.

Quite right. The deck is the only bit that bears any resemblance to a RIB. The tubes certainly don't!
