million doller question

Hi, great site ive been reading posts for days. Im selling my sports boat and im going to buy a rib. just wonderd what you guys would buy if you had a £10,000 budget. Im after at least 100 hp and at least 5.5 mtr. 2 people on it most of the time but be nice to have extra seating and i just want it for playing around. i will use it in rough seas aswell. Ive been thinking maybe a Avon 560 with yam 100 four stroke, what do you think.
I know everybody likes there own thing but just trying to get some ideas.
Many thanks,
jim

Hi Jimbo,

An Avon is always a good bet and you would get a good one and change for that kind of money.

We have a 5.4 with a 70 2 str on the back and she is good for 30knots+

Offers

Although it may not sound like you have a lot of money,
Id' strongly suggesting offering it for more expensive ribs.
There are a lot of people out there who would not / could not turn it down.

Reckon you might even be able to squeeze a 6m rib out of that money.
Happy hunting.

I would talk to MattH about the Avon 560 he had one and will give you an honest opinion (not a good one though)

10k would get you a lot of rib and if you can accomodate it I would look at something around 6 meters with 100-140HP.

Good luck

I'm with these Numpties

When I was shopping, I was looking at 5.8m ribs. I've never once regretted the 6.5 I ended up with. Go for the most Horses you can manage!
