Mayday on Saturday
Hi guys, I was out on Saturday in Portsmouth teaching in our Rib & heard a Mayday from another Rib in the Calshot area, 8 miles away from us.
We had already towed a 30ft sailing boat out of danger & back to his mooring, but were unable to get safely to the Rib in trouble due to the horrendous sea conditions in the Solent. It was force 6-7 at that time!.
I heard that the boat was recovered safely by the local RNLI crews. Just wondered what the circumstances were?
