Lymington dredging

You lymington based people might already know but I am heading down next Thursday and emailed the marina to get mooring costs . She gave me prices but also said they may have to shut due to a dredging program. She will be finding out soon .

Thought it was worth a heads up

Yes it was five quid cheaper down south well worth a tank of fuel !!!!

We grabbed a groupon offer for two nights 15 minutes north of Christchurch. Tried to get radio and antenna fitted at home but struggled to find someone and am running out of time . So thought we would get it fitted whilst down there , less time on boat but at least it will be done by someone that knows what there doing

Great. Is the radio being fitted in lymington?
I often go to Christchurch, if lymington is being dredged. I could maybe show you around Christchurch

Having radio fitted in swanwick then heading over to Christchurch . Can I launch and moor from Christchurch? Some have said it's not ideal for beginners . Crusherr said he might meet up for a pint on the Thursday .

Oh right. Don't think I know him.

Christchurch is fine it's just not very deep in places.
You soon get used to it!!
The only issue right now is that the channel boys from the entrance are missing as they are put in by the fishermen after the winter storms. But a quick look at low tide will show you where to go! :-)

I normally launch from mudeford quay. There you can leave the boat at anchor for 2 weeks free.
Failing that rossiters boatyard has a good slip and moorings up the river in Christchurch itself.

Poole isn't that far the other way (if lymington is out of action)

Im happy to rock up anywhere for a day out in the boat with you.
