Looking at buying

Hello I am looking to buy a rib, I have been searching for quite a long time but haven’t settled on anything yet looking for something cheap so it doesn’t really matter what make/model/engine found one on marketplace that has been up for 2 months and is only £2,250 I will attach the link but it is a Avon sr 4.7 with a mariner 55hp two stroke, any suggestions or things to look out for when buying would be greatly appreciated……..https://www.facebook.com/share/Gno4E...ibextid=79PoIi

Hi Rua and welcome.
To my untrained eyes I would be very, very cautious. The paintwork looks as though it's just been done (why ?) it doesn't look good and is patchy. The black patches on top of the tubes look new and they haven't been applied very well. Could be UV damaged tubes that are porous hence the black patches.
If you are going to look at it, I would take someone with experience with you.

I'm going to be less diplomatic than steve & say that looks like a tarted up shed & will likely be a money pit.
Whilst the avon 4.7 & that yam/mariner engine are good units units in general that package doesnt look like good examples of either

Welcome to the forum Rua.

Agree with others above, total red flag boat. Rough coat of "Dulux" on the hull, rough tube re-paint, not quite stuck down wear patches, apparently no proper location for fuel tank or battery, rusty non-stainless washers in places and, even if sound in its day, a very old outboard.
