Lewmar Hatches

Simple question ....

Can a Lewmar Hatch that is not lockable be easily converted into one that can be locked (with a key) from the outside?

Ive found that Lewmar do the locks on their website, however at £65 each they are not cheap, anyone know of a another supply of marine barrel locks?
