Lepe Beach Slipway

Down at Lepe beach today I was surprised to see that the gap in the wooden posts that allowed access for the beach slipway has been closed, where they have installed new posts along the beach ignoring the old gap. Anyone aware of who is responsible for maintaining it?

It's the one next to the carpark and cafe which is accessed through the coach park. Its not really a slipway really just access to the beach but its marked on the launchingboats website. In fine weather and medium high tide you can launch a rib.

No Solent rescue usually launch around the other side, but since they have a new rib I'm not sure if they will be launching from lepe anymore .
The slip way in mention is designated for none motorised craft.
. I'm often at lepe and I have never seen ribs launched from here.

Alright all, Solent did launch from there a few times, only a searider though, Even that was a bit of a pig as is loose sand and shale. Don't think it is a public launch position for ribs and such.
