Leak

My RIB has had a leak in the hull for a while now and I ve been trying to find it for ages. I have looked at past threads and it is definatly salt water and not a rain water leak.
I think I have found the leak this after noon it is at the back of the RIB where the tubes join the hull, at the end of the tube a crack has formed, its about 10cm long. The crack is on the curved bit before the flange. I filled the hull of the boat up with water with the hose and when I lifted the tube up at the back the crack opened and water came out. How do I go about repairing this, I was thinking of some strong epoxy? Or is it a job for the professionals and who would you recommend? Any advice would be great, Alex.

I'd consider taking it down to Raider RIBs in Christchurch for an opinion as you're local - the chap who owns the yard seems like a decent down-to-earth type.

Thanks Richard,

I will phone Raider RIBS / R.I.B.S marine tommorow. I had another look and I think what has happened is the tube is coming away from the hull, hopefully it can be glued.

Alex
