Yes I know apologies

Do you think it would be wrong for me to state that the page does not endorse the Powerboat and RIB campaign, the legislate part obviously. I know it is not a ribnet page but the general view of the community is educate over legislate, and although at the beginning I think I went the opposite way reading the reasons in more detail I have come round to this view too.

Any thoughts anyone?

Did it for you-it's on the previous page.

It's just site maintenance,

A black T shirt on summers day? Not the idea of comfort.

I have just 'liked and shared' the Facebook page on my wall, if most people on here do that it should get the message out to a few thousand people straight away

These pics are a two second scamp, with a bit more time we can work it into a good icon.
I CAN STOP is a good strapline.

How about approaching an existing brand and having gear designed in a "kill cord" range, with dry suits, jackets, shorts, LJs with a specific KC clip. A range targeted at rib and powerboat enthusiasts?

There's some really good ideas coming forwards here, but I can't help thinking that if we're aiming to shock the people too stupid to wear a killcord because they don't think it'll happen to them, it needs to be as direct as possible or they'll still think it doesn't apply to them.

I'd quite happily take the flak for walking around in a shirt with a picture of a horrific injury on it and 'Runaway boats kill. Wear your killcord' on it.

However, I suspect the rest of the populace might take offence.

Please could we as a community compose an appropriate wall comment, I was thinking something along the lines of why it is important, the reasons behind it etc. What do you think?

If anyone has a good picture for the cover picture that would good, likewise any PM contributions gratefully appreciated. If anyone is interested in being made an admin on the facebook page then I am also happy to do that, it needs to be community led since we are obviously quite a significant community, especially if a few from the dark side can be convinced to join.

Perhaps the group should also have a general purpose of furthering the debate, if it is widely enough publicised, then many more people will find information there and be able to add their thoughts and ideas as we all have done here
Thanks for setting this up. To support gotchiguy - does anyone have a better graphic for this page - I have nothing to hand unfortunately, and I agree the more education / positive publicity given the better...

Black or white, just with darker colours inverted so it still shows.

White, with darker images and wording.

The noose is a very strong iamge that stands out and the wording is perfect and simple to decipher.
