Muz,

We planned to launch at Renfrew Ferry a few years ago (I never made it due to a mechanical issue). I wasn't the organiser but as I recall there were some hoops to jump through to use the slip. It certainly involved asking permission ahead of time and sending a copy of insurance - I have a horrible feeling there was a risk assessment to do as well.

I have a contact name who I had to send my insurance cert to if that is any help.

I love that thought Russell .. If I was a casual rag and stick man.. I'd already have the bacon looked out for the morning fry up .. but Mrs '7' is a bit agoraphobic .... who doesn't do slow boats far from shore.. so 30 knots is fine ... but bobbing for 5 minutes is a hatchet job spending money also gives instant relief .. funny that ?
