Slightly off topic but can anyone tell me where we can drop off a group in East Cowes. They're staying in Ryde for the weekend and need to get the bus from EC. is there a suitable public landing place anywhere close?
there is a jetty at east cowes in between columbine road and the esplanade.
I wouldnt try it at low tide though.
I was going to paste a link from google maps, but I couldnt work out how.

Aha! I just have

east cowes jetty

Thanks for the comments and advice, glad to say we had a great and uneventful trip, we got to the site about low tide and slowly moved up the river with careful use of Depth Guage and a far more accurate Boat Hook (Thanks Will!) as the tide came up. Great night, Prodigy were very loud and tons of boats up there but no mishaps and very pleasant run back across the solent about 1am.

Hope to see more of you next year :-)

Hey, we were moored up next to a Wake Board Boat with Liquid Force graphics and a Windy came over a little later as well, we were Dark Blue Cobra 7.55 with a Verado...

Was that the wakeboard boat that was taking loads of abuse from someone at the end of the Prodigy?

Hmmm, Not sure, we headed off almost straight away to avoid the melee, what happened, we were moored next to a black boat about 18 foot, black hull with a monster tower and speakers, an old skool ski boat, about 8 people on board...

That's the one. We were aground for 20 mins after the end of the Prodigy and they'd started playing chart cheese music on the wakeboard boat at full volume, I think drowning out another boat.
