Insurance issues

Has anyone checked the conditions of your insurance when in a boatyard ?

Mine is not insured unless it has a wheel clamp on it or the boatyard is a locked compound ?

Most boatyards I have found to be reluctant putting the wheel clamp on as they shuffle them about.

Has anyone found any alternative solutions ?

Very normal. No idea why a boat yard won’t refit the clamp after shuffling. Is the issue that actually other customers sometimes shuffle boats?

I just leave mine fitted all the time ,trailer will have hitch lock fitted though

Thats brilliant. I like it.

We did question the Hitchcock as the trailer has one fitted. We were told if the boat can go over 17kts on the water a Hitchcock isn’t valid. I’ve got to convince boatyard to wheel lock it or install a locked gate.
