Hysucat 17 5.3

Hi all wondering if anyone knows what the max single engine hp for this craft is ,and should it be a long shaft or an X-long shaft .cheers Al

I think you are mistaking, there are no short shaft in this power - lets try to find one unless special order if any - and I doubt that an Hysucat could reach 40kn with 25 or 30hp !
With a pair of 50/60, ok, but standard long shaft

Hysucats run at their best with the engines almost out of the water. The engine will act like an anchor at high speed if to much of it is in the water.

We had similar problems at the recent Powerboat & RIB Show in Portsmouth due to the 300 Suzuki not being available in a shorter length.

Will get someone to advise you on the proper setup. Do you have any pictures of the boat so we can properly identify it.
