Hypalon or PVC on Zodiac yatchline 420 2001

Hello

I just bought a zodiac 420 yatchline 2001.

Eventhough I’m almost sure they are made from PVC, the previous owner told me the tubes were hypalon.

From your experience, what are this tubes made of? Or how can I be sure?

It’s important because the tube reel came lose, so I have to reattach it

Pretty sure it will be Strongan Duotex, basically Zodiac’s own PVC. The latest models use hypalon neoprene fabric 1100 decitex.

To check, remove a valve cap. If the tube material is the same colour both sides it’s PVC. If it’s darker inside it’s hypalon.

I have a 2004 4.8m MEDLINE 1 (series 14330) and it is a PVC tube. The previous owner tried to glue patches and abrasion resistant panels to it, which did not work well at all.

I just got a new tube set, which cost plenty as well as shipping to Hawaii $$$$ from DEFENCE.com which took 8 months from ordering to delivery.
