Hydraulic Steering

Hi guys and girls, probably a silly question but can I change the sides where my hoses enter the ram?

It looks there’s connectors on both sides but I’m not sure if that’s just for bleeding the system. I want to change my hose run and changing sides would help.

Thanks in advanceClick image for larger version

Not sure on the hydraulic question, but my pipes are shorter for the same set up. Mine turn inside where you handle is for your manual bilge pump, so can't you loose some length perhaps back up in your consul?. If you move it to the other side I expect it would impede your aux more than the hand pump handle

Hi Mark,

Yeh that’s what I’ll probably do. I think the other side are purely bleed screws anyway. When you bleed the system, it looks like you loop the two together with plastic pipe in order to complete the circuit before you purge.

See pic attached

Thanks again

Craig

Hi Craig, no photo to hand, but they exit at the same place as yours do from your photo, so I either have shorter hoses or some length has been lost under my deck and in consul. Mark
