How many people can you fit on a Rib for Cowes Week?

Cowes Week is a great time to take a look at lots of different Ribs bringing visitors to the town.

It's also a time to watch some interesting behaviour from those visitors who make the most of the free entertainment and various beer tents and pubs.

Saw a rather lively group of.... er.... Twenty people, mostly without life jackets leaving the harbour on what look liked a 7.5m Rib this evening.
Luckily none fell off as they left, but I really hope they all made it back to the mainland safely.

My 7.3m is rated for 18 people. Life jackets aside that part is close to ok.

On the basis that it was Cowes Week and they were therefore probably all WAFIs and WAFIWAGs, I'd have tried to squeeze a few more on....

Jesus crist is this a rib/sib forum or life jacket forum, if they don't want wear a life jacket that it there business, I didn't hear of 18-20 people drowning so I assume they got back, but why all the excitement every time someone see's a boat with people in not wearing one, if you have the balls to go up to a boat full of people and tell them what they should / should't be doing now that I want to hear about and a few pic's of black eyes would be good.

Calm down man! For the record, I actually prefer my pissed WAG to be LJ free. They can create all sorts of access issues and 'Chuck Berry' moments. ;-)
