HelpPlease

As a new member expecting to buy a new Rib soon, I would appreciate any comments on 'Grand' RIBs especially their 420.
Many thanks

I've not heard of Grand ribs. But I would avoid Chinese ribs no matter how alluring their prices might be 👍

Grand RIBs

They are made in Ukraine in PVC or Hypalon. They look pretty good in their catalogue (downloaded). Based (only)on catalogues, websites and some advice I have a current short list of the Grand 420 and Mercury 420 (prices seem similar) but from where I live (West Wales)it is proving very difficult to get to see them (or indeed any RIB at a dealer - they will only get them in following an order)

Unless you are dead set on this particular marque, why not look at something closer to home that can offer backup & support in the future? If I was being a crash test dummy, I’d want a significant financial incentive.
Just IMO

There was a review of the 6.5 Grand in the December issue of Powerboat & RIB, it came out ok. But at £53k for a 6.5m with a 150hp engine, they're not exactly giving them away.

Sorry can’t really offer any useful advice on either boats in your shortlist, but noticed this package at Barnet Marine recently.
