Help read

Hi need a little help /advice just fitted a cobra VHF radio and it has adaptor to enable it to be connected to a chart plotter to pick up a GPS signal there is a black wire and a red wire from radio, the plotter is a garmin 551s unit with a selection of wires not used,question is does any body know which colour wires to connect up. To enable gps to work ,or if it's atall poss with these 2units.

1. Bond the BLACK wire on GPS to the BLACK wire on VHF interface cable.

2. Bond the NMEA OUT Positive (BLUE) on GPS to the RED wire of the VHF interface cable.

3. Enable the NMEA0183 output sentence on the GPS.

Garmin to ICOM

Hi,

Would the blue to red be the same for interfacing the Garmin 172c to ICOM M411?
