Help for anchorage near Plymouth

Hi, could anyone help, we are a party of 5 ribs and 14 blokes heading down the south coast in May, in preparation we have hit one stumbling block

Our planner poked his nose into Noss Mayo and was pretty unconvinved it will work for us. The water gets very low and we can't moor up near any quays or pontoons.. also there are only one of two B&Bs who will probably not be best pleased to put up the 14 or so of us who need beds. So can anyone please suggest an alternative in the area? We are near Plymouth - any decent places around there??

Salcombe is roughly 18 miles from Plymouth and a fantastic harbour with Dartmouth the same distance to the East - the Harbour will cope easily with that number of boats and there is accommodation of all types although camp sites need to be driven too! There is a big slipway and parking that is bookable etc, but there is a drawback - it isn't cheap!

If I can help with anything feel free to call or email the BananaShark factory (we're just up the road!).
