helicopter engined black rib
Anyone remember the black rib at ribex that was supposed to be helicopter engined??? ANyone know if it ever worked or have any pics of it??

That one had a tiny turbine in it - probably one used as a generator / starter for bigger motors. That was the last I saw or heard of it, the bloke was a bit paranoid, he had removed all of the seats from it as he was scared of having someone copy them.

If it was the engine on his website then it managed to keep a jet ranger in the air - and yes they are small.
Still 300hp is not a massive amount in a rib even if the engine is very light!!!

In the end they did away with the turbine because the company supplying it went tits up.
I think he was planning to fit an engine in.

Yes it is - hence no transom either. A pretty wet ride but if you look at the console that was taken into account.
