Heads Up Camber dock slipway

Hi,

Just a quick heads up to let anyone who plans to launch their boat from trhe slipway at The Camber in Old Portsmouth that due to the expected arrival of the Queen Elizabeth II aircraft carrier (Expected to arrive at 09:30 on Friday 18th), access to the Camber Dock and slipway will be restricted. Therefore, unless you have a valid resident's/business permit for Old Portsmouth, you will not be allowed to drive on any of the roads leading to the slipway.

I have not been informed of the exact timings of when these restrictions come into force, but will update when I know.

In addition, please be aware that Portsmouth Harbour will be closed to all watercraft before, during and after the arrival of the carrier. Again, exact timing are not yet available. but I'll update when I know.

Further information is available at https://www.portsmouth.gov.uk/ext/tr...h-carrier.aspx

Also please see LNTM regarding closures/exclusion zones etc. http://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/qhm/port...ueen-elizabeth

Regards

Steve

From AIS tracker she is about 10 nm south of the Needles heading anti-clockwise around the island. Apparently now at 0710 which will be fun for all those that catch the Wightlink and Gosport ferries at that time in the morning.
