Haslar Slip

Don't know how many people here use the Slipway at Haslar, but appears the car park is a bit of a dumping ground for soil at the moment.

On exiting the car park I read a sign that said to park your car and trailer you now need to purchase two carpark tickets for you stay. One for the car and one for the trailer . So much for the free launching facility then!

Does that mean your local Council Officers need new personal Laptops.

Its a shame we couldn't get our own slipway somewhere in this area. On a non profit making basis pay a nominal fee for each use. A pipedream I fear.

Roguewave has been brave enough to start up his own RIB buisiness its just a shame he hasn't got a slipway. Although I think parking would be a problem as it is in most parts of this area.

I have a friend that is probably selling his Old Coast Guard Cottage at Hill Head Nr Gosport and Fareham. He has a slip and a boat shed with bar and toilets. Only trouble is what he wants for it all.

Anyone got over a million!

Nice Cottage, 3 stories high with uninterupted views over the Solent. Has a games room and a Double garage with a granny annex over. Raised BBQ area plenty of parking for loads of car/boat combo's and Sunken garden.

I'm sure a few of us could chip in together and even know of one or two people that would even sleep in the boat house if not the boat .
