dont pee scratch your sensitive parts or rub your eyes after chopping chillies, and use upol tiger seal instead of sikaflex it costs a wee bit more but is worth it

Going back to the weedy hull thing, I had Coppercoat put on my boat about a year ago and it's 100% weed free today. It costs a lot but is worth it in my opinion. I had it done professionally as it's a bit tricky to apply but it's certainly RIB-friendly stuff.

Another tip: Make a radio check everytime you take your boat out. You'll crap your pants if you have an emergency and only then discover the radio doesn't work.

Make sure you know how to get back aboard if you fall in by trying it somewhere safe-and have someone aboard that can help the first time you try it in case you can't get back onboard.

Make sure your painter isn't long enough to foul the prop.

If you've been fishing and got blood or lime on the deck, don't use warm water to wash the boat down at home without thoroughly washing it down with cold water and washing up liquid first. Warm water cooks the smell on and it'll smell like a trawler.

Have you been with my missis??? Wipe here down with cold water first or she smells like a trawler! Yep, sounds about right, got to get her out of the drysuit once in a while or she festers. Why not try good old Fairy Liquid and elbow grease, it works wonders. Pampers baby wipes are also brilliant for removing the stuborn stuff - I'm not kidding, give em a try. I,ve removed some real bad stains from the hull with them. They also work great on tubes. Or ya bum.....

Keep a spare boat ignition key on your car keyring so you won't be dissapointed at the slipway

Attach keys to a retractable key ring and clip them to your belt loop on your trousers, this way you shouldn't lose your keys easily, other items like mobile phones can be attached too.

It isn't a good look but saves you losing keys when your away from home and its the only set you have.
