Got a bit carried away on eBay...

and bought this

eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

Think its worth the money OK but will certainly be a project, possibly not recoverable but worth trying! Any tips on fixing those floors? I presume Hypalon adhesive should work OK for sticking the tubes to the transum? Just bought some for a patch on my boat so would be handy if it worked.

Also includes the non running yam 3.5hp outboard, should be fun tinkering with it. Assuming the buyer sells it OK at that price and I dont see why not I will hopefully pick it up some evening next week.

That's a Zodiac Cadet... and a steal at £62 with the little Yammie. Is it air-cooled?

Regards the tube material - I suspect it's PVC (Strongan Duotex), not Hypalon. Use Polymarine's 2-part adhesive. Link here: 3026 PVC Adhesive, 2 Part, 250ml Tin

the rib has a small tear in the deck which is not inflatible and the transome has detached from the tube ive been told that to fix this it would only cost £15 for glue on e-bay

the engine is a yamaha 3.5 hp and has good compreshion and the pullchord works but also need a bit of atention

sorry i know nothing about boats or engines this was in a house clearence that i done recently these items just need a bit ov tlc and a little expence to get giong for a lot of fun at the beach

The Yam looks like a 3.5A - Air cooled and uses motorcycle two stroke.

I REALLY must get mine sorted and sold soon

We shouldn't put down people who may be less able than ourselves in certain areas but I think this is more a testament to the state of the UK and it's education system in particular. Seriously - it's the 21st century and people can't spell two letter words like "of"??? This reminds me of some Victorian pauper's scribbling from back in the day when only the upper classes went to school, sometimes it seems we've stepped backwards by 200 years

I find it quite funny that 20-30 years ago, many people were of the opinion that with the advent of mobile phones and computers etc. etc., grammar was no longer particularly important, "people don't write letters any more" they'd say. Kind of ironic that with text messages, emails, eBay listings etc., it's actually probably more important than ever!

got a look at it today, not as bad as I thought it might be!

Serial number is XDC 61194 M84J (take this to mean 1984?)

Model 018 something

2.60 metres

Wont be delivered to me till next week but wondered if any zodiac experts know from the serial number if its pvc or hypalon? Its not at all like my previous Quicksilver SIB more hypalon like - is that what the Zodiac pvc material looks like?

Engine is a bit rusty but reckon it should come back to life OK, compression seems good!

saw that but does not go as far back as I think mine is, could be wrong but surely something made in 90's could not look this bad!

It does say in the blue tab though that the last two numbers give the age. I thought it was 1994 at first sight with perhaps the 6/11/94 but this seems to suggest the 84 is its age identifier.

Are you feeling ok? That's some diatribe. Don't be so harsh, the blokey clearly learnt his three R's from the same textbook as wiLfish.

Ribnet has always regarded itself as a place of high spelling quality and grammatical accuracy. Each time I log on the grammatical error on the forum index page annoys the heck out of me.

Now talking of the future, I need to log off and carry on with "Brave New World" first book I've read for leisure in five years I quite like it

Mustapha Mond, World Controller for Western Europe.

English Lit. O Level back in the late 1800s.

Aldous Huxley's Great Nephew was in the year above me.
