All the gear no idea?! man up springs to mind my old man would laugh his ass off if he saw me in one of these.

(only jealous, would love one, though my £15 white SMITH ski goggles were a more economic choice the amount of times I need a gecko)

For the cost of a dry suit (black shadow etc), gecko with comms and gloves for all crew, would it be better to get a cabin rib?

Paul, has Willk left you deputised responsibility for Redbay / Wheelhouse rib promotion whilst he is on holiday! I'm not sure the cost of even the most sophisticated dry suit, lid and associated toys adds up to the cost of putting a lid on the boat - but I am fairly sure that if it is "gecko conditions" I'd have much more chance of getting the missus to go on a boat if it has a wheelhouse than by offering her a helmet.

That might be the exact reason people don't get a wheelhouse! They get their helmets out, put on their protective black shadow and play with the boys!

Re redbay, I'd rather have a targa ....
