Fuel alongside the water at Christchurch

Hi

My mate has his boat on a mooring at Mudeford and need to know the nearest fuel (petrol) which he can access. He doesn,t have a trailer and his missus wont have jerry cans of fuel in the car.

Cheers

Paul

Its Yarmouth (closest/cheaper) or Poole ( a bit further/more expensive). There is Diesel on the river but no petrol , although there were murmerings about it earlier this year .

Apologies ... feel free at the weekend - I may be out watching the Red Arrows at swanage, but even if the boat there help yourself alongside.

If you follow the river up to the civic offices there is a fuel station a 2 min walk, problem is you either have to beach on the slip way (not recommended) or hope the gates to the compound are unlocked. There was a day when you could hop the fence but the council have greased it with some nasty stuff!
