Flare Box's

Does anyone know where you can buy the stainless frame that holds flare boxes/dry boxes to an A Frame. I have just bought 2 storage boxes but cannot seem to find anyone that sells them. Needs to be 8" x 8" square.

You can purchase these at Barnet Marine Centre Ltd
Telephone: 020 8449 4142. I got some last year, they are very well made and well worth the expense.

Have just phoned them £150 a pair so will wait a bit longer to see if anyone else comes up with another number if not I'll order those.

Thanks

Why not try a local engineering or fabricating company? Something like this is a very simple job, and you'll probably get it at a much better price than buying them from a "proper" marine company.

I don't know if either of these is actually any good for what you want, but a couple of minutes on Google found these companies local to you:

Croft Engineering www.croft-eng.co.uk
Day's Fabrication 01420 588070

Might be a start . . .

John

If you do get some made up, make sure they are an extremely tight fit.. I have a pair of brackets on the "A" frame for the containers, and it's a very, very tight squeeze getting them in.. Did mention that to the guy who made them, and he pointed out come summer it would be easier, but if they were too loose, they would bounce out..

Sorted

Have managed to get the same person who is building my A-Frame to make the Box Holders, £40 each. Thanks for all the response and hopefully see you on the water very soon.
