Fish sighting survey...

Louise says:

To whom it concerns,

My name is Louise Healy and I am a Msc. student of Marine biology, Heriot Watt university, Scotland. I am currently undertaking my thesis; looking at the change of distribution of various marine species, especially those moving up the west of England and Scotland.

As part of my thesis I will be needing the help of fishermen, naturalists and all marine users to help with the sightings scheme.

It is a quick questionnaire that should take less than 5 minutes. Please follow the link:

Survey

I would be very grateful if you could pass this on to members of your association.

Kind Regards,
Louise Healy

Interesting choice - leatherback turtle, sun fish, trigger fish............and a grey mullet! Guess she must have a reason for this.

They are water temperature indicators. She's looking at warm(er) water species that are being found increasingly further north. The mullet is a bit odd - but distribution data is limited - she might be using it as some sort of control in the survey?
