First time launching in Anglesey

Hi all,

I'm looking for tips on whereabouts in Anglesey would be a good place to launch our boat for the first few times, until we're used to it.

The idea of towing, launching and parking is freaking me out a bit!

I wondered if anyone knew where might be as stress free as possible, so easy to launch for the back of the car, mooring or anchoring out of everyone's way while i Park the car and trailer, and ease of parking said car and trailer!

Been considering Traeth Bychan, but looking at Google maps, the car park looks small?

The actual boating doesnt bother me as I've used boats of various size over the last few years, but the wife hasn't and as I see it, one of us will have to stay with the boat while the other one finds somewhere to park!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Thanks Pikey Dave, that doesn't look too bad, although was hoping for something on the island to keep the towing element to a minimum as the boat is stored at Dulas.

Ahh! I assumed you were visiting, not resident. In that case there’s a slip in Amlwch, not used it meself, but it’s nice & sheltered into the harbour. It’s narrow & would need competent reversing skills. Worth a recce before taking the boat.
