Extendable steering column

I have quite a low console and if standing, reaching the steering wheel is a little awkward.

Don't want to change the console, so has anyone ever heard of an extendable steering column? Just a long shot.

change the wheel for one with a deeper dish.... or a larger diameter

Thanks, I'm considering that but interested to know if there's anything easily adjustable out there similar to most modern cars.
