Evinrude etec 75 2006

Anyone came across this problem. Engine has jus been serviced and impeller and housing replaceced. Engine is running and cooling fine but when I stop and put it into neutral a buzzer sound on the taco and says in letters. OVER TEMP. tell tale is not hot whatsoever. Any thoughts on this.

Same happened to mine and it was the EMM. I hope that its not with yours as it's an expensive part.

Thanks Kerny. It’s not showing up on the lap top as that mostly showing a drop in voltage. But will take that onboard and dig deeper. Thanks. Bobsta

Mine was showing hot on the laptop put was pumping water out of the tell tale at normal temp. My did eventually go into limp mode and would not come out of it even after going through the sequence stated from the hand book.

You could try checking the thermostat to see if there is no blockage.

What caused the emm to fail? Overheating, poor battery connection?
